Registration for the 2025 meeting will open on or near December 1.

Registration rates are available at a discounted rate for members. Early bird registration will be available through February 1, at which time it will increase to the full registration rate.

Guest rates are only available for a guest of a current MSS member registered for the meeting. Guests should be a non-participating spouse or non-sociologist companion, who are not attending the Meeting for professional learning purposes.

REMINDER: Participants in the program must be MSS members AND register for the meeting, unless given special permission by the Executive Office.

Registration and membership can both be purchased online. Please be sure that your membership is current if you are purchasing a member-rate registration. Not a member? Join the MSS today!

Non-Participating Undergraduate Student Group Rate

MSS offers a group rate for undergraduate students not participating in the meeting as a presenter, facilitator, presider or other named participant. The intention of this group rate is to introduce undergraduate students to MSS by providing a reduced rate for a small group. To access group rates, please email Jennifer Talarico, MSS Executive Director, at [email protected], by February 1, 2025, with the completed Non-Participating Undergraduate Student Group Form.

Groups of up to 15 undergraduate students $300
Groups of 16-30 undergraduate students $500

Any groups larger than 30 will be assessed a rate via the Executive Director.

  • Each group consists of undergraduate students only.
  • Students in the group are not required to be members of MSS.
  • Students participating in the meeting must pay standard student rates (not part of a group rate).
  • Each group must be sponsored by an MSS professional member who is attending the meeting.
  • All names must be supplied in advance to the Executive Director for input to the MSS database.
  • Group rates are available to any institution of higher education, not limited to the Midwest region.

*Under special circumstances, institutions may request a reduced group fee or waiver. Such request should be made by sending an email to Jennifer Talarico, MSS Executive Director, at [email protected].

Individual non-participating students may choose to purchase student memberships and register at the student rate. The Non-Participant Undergraduate Student Group rate is intended for and financially beneficial to small groups.
